Follow Friday – Ninth Month Blog Challenge Part One

Yesterday, I discovered this comment on my blog on my Writer’s Quote Wednesday – E E Cummings post from Tikeetha T., the blogger over at A Thomas Point of View:

I love these quotes. You’ve been chosen as one of today’s nine blogs in That’s So Jacob’s Ninth Month Blog Challenge. I challenge you to find nine blogs you find interesting and give them a comment to brighten their day…well, eight other blogs and mine 🙂 Copy this message in your comment and enjoy your new blog friends!

I went from smiling to panic mode in zero to sixty seconds.  How was I going to participate in this challenge when I had a #FollowFriday post to write and a list of both blog-related and non-blog related things to do that was beginning to overwhelm me?  Moments later I decided to combine … Wait, it was really hours later because I put that problem off for hours while I cleaned my kitchen windows and worked on other blog related projects and spent some time with P-Dubs.  Apparently, I am drawn to him when I am feeling overwhelmed.  So as I was saying, I decided to combine the Nine Month Blog Challenge with my Follow Friday posts for the last two Fridays in September.  Brilliant idea.  Why didn’t I think of that?  Sooner that is.

Accordingly this week’s Follow Friday post features four blogs that I never commented on before this week and the Nine Month Challenge.  So with out further ado, I present to you four blogs you should follow this Follow Friday:

The Fat Tales: A Dose of Reality

My Comment:

Well done, TT – the post and the taking control of your medical treatment.  I also have sleep apnea and I foolishly bypassed the mouth piece and went straight to the CPAP machine. Hate is a very strong word, but I HATE my CPAP machine.  I had anxiety attacks when I tried to use it.  Slept less and stress I can’t even describe.  I know plenty of people that it works well for.  My only options now are shed the pounds (which is harder for someone with sleep apnea – truth not excuses) or have weight loss surgery (not an option I want).  Your post inspires me to get on track with the weight loss – I want to dance at Munch’s wedding too.  I think I just invited myself to Munch’s wedding.  Good luck with your journey to a healthier you.  And thanks for challenging me here and with the Nine Month Blog Challenge.

My Comment:

I love your wit and sense of humor.  I find your posts and stories thoroughly entertaining with or without vanilla frosting.  Your tagline is perfect – where imagination soars.  I’m glad you stopped by my blog so I could find your Invisible World.

Today was a Good Day in Africa for my Little Girl!

My Comment:

The pictures are beautiful.  I love that you show us the trip through your daughter’s eyes. What amazing experiences you are providing her.  One of my favorite pictures is when she is staring at her little arm bewildered by the attraction. I wonder at what age children notice color; I suppose its different for every child.  Thanks for the wonderful reminder of how children view the world with amazement and wonder.

Thanks, William for stopping by my blog.  I’m glad that you mentioned you found my blog through Jason at HarsH ReaLiTy.  I think it’s always nice to know how someone finds your blog.  I had to visit your blog in return and am glad I did.  There is something about the way you write that pulls the reader in.  I was so engrossed with Life Imitates Art that at one point I forgot that one part was actual events and the other fiction.  It is very eerie that your story came to be in your life.  Glad that your real life experience ended with you and your wife (and neighbors) being safe.

How Social Are They:

Bloggers mentioned in this post should feel free to join in on the merriment of That’s So Jacob’s Ninth Month Blog Challenge.   If you choose to accept this challenge leave a comment on my blog and eight other amazing blogs and let them know your comment is as a result of the aforementioned challenge.  If you want out of this challenge do nothing, just carry on.  If you want to challenge only four other blogs because September is half over, go for it.  If you weren’t mentioned in this post and want to join in, I hereby challenge you.

Until next Friday.

  1. Somehow my site must have eaten your comment (it’s a hungry little thing…I just can’t keep it under control), so I didn’t see what you wrote until just now.
And it’s such a great comment too! (Bad blog. How could you have robbed me of reading such encouraging stuff?)
Oh well, I still got to read it in the end (take that you chomping site!) I’m glad you found my little scribbling entertaining, and sorry about the hungry little monster. It must have been the mention of vanilla frosting that did it. 😉
